Peaches (prunus persica) are considered the most ancient fruit crop domesticated in China (since circa 2,000 BC). To this day, China produces about 44% of the world’s peaches. Along with yellow fleshed peaches, interest in white-fleshed peaches and nectarines has risen in the last few years.
One of the classic recipes made with white peaches is the Bellini cocktail, created in 1948 at Harry's Bar in Venice, Italy by Mr. Giuseppe Cipriani. Cipriani loved the mild sweet taste of white peaches and after his experimentation with pureed white peaches and prosecco (Italian Sparkling Wine), a new cocktail was born.
Sweet, non-acidic, orchard-fresh Monin White Peach is great for Bellinis, margaritas, teas, smoothies, lemonades, and much more.
