The limited supply with surely leave us here in the roastery eagerly awaiting next year’s allotment. The El Salvador has is roasted slightly lighter than a traditional medium roast. Many coffees cannot handle light roasts but, as I’m sure you will find, this coffee is very different.
The Organic El Salvador ‘Cuzcachapa’ (Sacred Waters) is powerful yet balanced. We find this coffee to be rich in flavor, with vibrant acidity, and full bodied. As it cools the complex flavors transform into a very nice orange flavor.
The Cuzcachapa recently won the “Best Coffee Company in El Salvador, 2007” award and since 2005 it has been the official processing mill for the annual “Cup of Excellence” competition.
