Tea Zone Tapioca (Boba) Pearls are made from the starch of the cassava (or tapioca) root. Our boba pearls are dark brown in color and maintain their consistent chewy texture in both hot and cold beverages. To use in drinks and as dessert toppings, boba pearls must be prepared through a process of slow boiling and soaking in a sugar solution. Properly made boba pearls will hold their shape and texture for approximately 6 hours, after which point Tea Zone recommends making a fresh batch to ensure that the boba pearls do not become mushy or lose their shine. These Tea Zone Tapioca (Boba) Pearls are vacuum-packed and sold in individual 6-pound bags, each yielding between 36 and 72 servings, depending on the serving size of the beverage. An individual serving of boba pearls contains 80 calories and zero grams of sugar or fat.

Dark brown (color) pearls which are derived from the starch of the cassava root. You can add them to any drink (hot or cold) for a fun and unique experience! This boba maintains a fairly consistent texture with any drink, whether it be hot, cold, or frozen. The shelf life after cooking the A1000 boba is roughly 6 hours. After 6 hours, the boba may begin to lose its shine and become a little mushy, we recommend discarding any unused boba that is over 6 hours old and replacing it with a fresh batch.
